Club Shelter @ Ministry Of Sound

Saturday March 7th 2009

NYC’s legendary Club Shelter, the World’s longest running underground dance party, are flying the team to London’s Ministry Of Sound for an exclusive Shelter Spectacular!

Est. 1991, Club Shelter was founded by DJ/Producer Timmy Regisford alongside Freddy Sanon and Merlin Bobb, which resides in the vibrant Soho District of Manhattan. Since opening it’s doors, Shelter has seen the World’s greatest DJ talent grace it’s decks including Little Louie Vega, Lil Louis, DJ Spinna, The late and great Larry Levan, Francois K and Joe Claussell (who apparently set the speakers on fire at one anniversary party!), alongside amazing guest artists such as Mary J Blige, Femi Kuti, Grace Jones, Chaka Khan, Patti Labelle and oh so many to mention! Alongside Timmy’s legendary soulful sets, Shelter has also given birth to many new talented Shelter residents over the years such as Sting International, Ben Johnson, Filsonik among many, and with it’s incredible dancers who absorb the music with their every move, Shelter has since become an institution for soulful music!

For those who have never had the chance to visit the club in NYC or catch this brilliant talent together under one roof before, here is your chance to experience “How we do” (as they say in NYC) as Shelter get set to rock the rafters of MOS with a night that promises to be the only opportunity to gain the full Shelter experience this side of the Atlantic!
