Atlanta’s been repped as the ‘new Motown’ for its prolific musical repertoire. For the Londoners amongst us, the big smoke is getting a taster courtesy of two of Atlanta’s most prominent female soloists.
Bosco
The first date is with Brittany Bosco (via Put Me On It), who has crossed the pond for the first time in order to promote the re-release of her 2008 ‘Spectrum’ Ep, which you can listen to here.

Now that you’re treating yourself to some decent music (instead of aiding youths overdose on sugar), look no further than Guy Fawkes eve. Not an actual date in the diary per se but surely Janelle Monae (in support of UK charity- Resources for Autism) is a better cause for celebration than the 5th of november; a day when some dude apparently tried to blow up our beloved politicians’ HQ.

This insanely talented, Grammy-nominated performer is hugely underexposed in the UK and yet those who are wise to her ways, namely her Metropolis Trilogy, are extremely hyped to welcome her over (via Cargo). She is so much more than an Outkast protege and now the UK will get to see why this girl was meant to play live.
