Street artist Specter currently has billboards up around Brooklyn sponsored by MoCADA (the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts) ahead of their forthcoming exhibition, The Gentrification of Brooklyn: The Pink Elephant Speaks.

The exhibition, which runs until May, includes a series of events involving local artists and schools, and workshops for small business owners. The object of Specter’s satire may be a force at work in Brooklyn but his message will resonate whether you live in the borough, or Dalston, or Kreuzberg, or Belleville etc.

Click here for Specter’s website and higher resolution pics. Do it now. Get involved. But don’t blame us when that nice restaurant on the corner becomes a Subway.
