Europe’s foremost peddlers of 70’s – 80’s musical smut and hardened record diggers In Flagranti join us for a rare up-close and personal appearance on Life Bar’s custom-built audiophile soundsystem beneath the Life Sushi Restaurant, aka the best (and only?) venue left in London.

In Flagranti, and their record label CODEK (founded in New York in 1996), are widely credited with pioneering the re-discovery of the Italian cosmic scene from the late 70’s early 80’s, the cosmic disco sound that has swept the dance music landscape over the past 5 years. Their DIY attitude has made them favourites amongst DJs like Soulwax, Erol Alkan, Trevor Jackson and Ivan Smagghe, and their remix portfolio has included work for seminal labels like Permanent Vacation, Service, and Erol Alkan’s own Phantasy Sound. The CODEK sleeve design, an important part of the whole aesthetic, has been called by Wire Magazine “the best in the business”, with its expertly sourced images of golden-era silk-screened Americana.
