London ravers take notice, Plastic People is closing. But don’t fear! It’s only for the summer.

Possibly prompted by that hoo-ha with the license, some much deserved refurbishing will be done. The dancefloor looks set to be relayed, hopefully removing the bowed sections but maintaining the smooth finish the current American Walnut has. There’s rumours of some other improvements too, find out more in an interview with Plastics’ owner, Ade Fakile, soon to be unveiled on the new burntprogress website.

To bid the space, staff, and punters best wishes, all female crew DeckQueenz will be hosting a special evening this Friday. They say:

Be part of clubbing history! Come and say ‘GOODBYE’ to the old Plastic People as you know it. Dance your heart out, use and abuse the old dancefloor for one last time with this sending off party hosted by with a line-up BIG enough to fit this special occasion
