Both outstanding and abysmal, the IMDB ratings for Quentin Dupieux’s 2007 film ‘Steak’ are the same sort of bi-polar pronouncement that a teacher once gave me in my end of year school report.

Dupieux, you may not know, is the alter-ego of Mr Oizo. One makes films, the other makes music, and sometimes they even work together, like on ‘Rubber’, Dupieux’s latest film which will be released soon, if they can find anyone willing to screen it. The story of a tyre with telepathic powers which goes on a killing spree across America, ‘Rubber’ is the first tyresploitation film of its kind, and also, we suspect, the last. Here’s the trailer in case you’re interested.

Brilliant review!...
Version of S/D/Mofo was unhinged; definitely not ponderous. It was crazy, dirty, wrong...
Stunning photo, whoever took that must really know what they're doing. Oh, good tracks ...
