The first Thriller was the possibly the best party of 2010 (or definitely up there with my nephew’s circumcision). Organized by the crew behind, from and around a certain record label that visual artist Davin Gormley was closely affiliated with, it was a night to honour their dearly departed friend who tragically passed away earlier this year. The vinyl selections from Lukid, Actress, Sam Blair and Paul Camo? touched on some of the records Davin liked to play, and not only was the vibe just right but with grafix by Davin projected around the venue, it felt like he was there in spirit. Thriller is happening again on Friday 3 December. Do I really need to sell this? Just go… events like these don’t happen every week.
