When Andrew Meza’s BTS Radio gets it right they ain’t no better beats. Adding to 2010′s resurgence of higher grade mixes is Morgan Zarate. Best known for his beat-building with Spacek, Morgan’s most recent venture is with a soon-to-be lauded group called The Shining. As those who’ve tracked his movements are aware his selections are exemplary.
At the time of this post, the tracklist hasn’t been published but Mr Meza has revealed that from 2min 50 to 4 min 06 it’s Morgan Zarate’s ‘Hookid’, forthcoming on Hyperdub. The rattling gem at 30min gets my pulse racing the most.
